Talus Technologies releases Exploration Archives 3
Exploration Archives 3 integrates new technology exclusively developed by Talus Technologies to further streamline data access for exploration companies. This latest release includes new features and modules such as SEG-Y SnapShot, Project Tracker and Bin Grid manager.
SEG-Y SnapShot generates replicas of data files in a compressed ‘snapshot’ format, reducing storage requirements and providing quick access to images and data details. The snapshots provide the information geophysicists need to decide if the data is relevant to a project before loading the full data file to a workstation. The snapshot technology gives instant access to files, removing the need to download large volumes of data.
The Project Tracker module integrates with Exploration Archives to manage and track seismic acquisition projects. Exploration companies can now organize and monitor all aspects of large-scale data acquisition.
The new Bin Grid module includes functionality for creating, editing and managing bin grids. The built-in algorithms provide precision when assessing the integrity of the positioning data for acquisition and processing projects. The bin grid definition produces load sheets for loading data to a workstation for further processing.
In addition to the functionality updates for file management, Exploration Archives 3 includes several time-saving and fast track processes for managing and tracking media movement.
